Our Privacy Policy has been written to demonstrate the highest level of integrity in dealing with visitors to the Number 68 web site and guests staying at Number 68.  The policy is intended to help you understand how we collect, use and safeguard the personal information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our website and our services.

You may provide personal information when communicating with us, for example, if you would like to make a reservation at our bed and breakfast, we will ask you for information such as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card number and room preference to process your reservation. 

We will use your e-mail address to send a confirmation and if necessary, might use the other information to contact you for help to process the reservation. We may also use your e-mail address to notify you about special offers and promotions as described in the e-mail section of this policy, but you can opt out of e-mails at any time by following the procedures outlined in that section of this statement.

It may be that some of the personal information you give us (for example, about your health) is sensitive personal data within the meaning of the Data Protection Act 1998. Such information ("sensitive information") will only be disclosed with your express consent.

It may be that you provide us details of credit or debit cards or bank accounts in making payment to us. Any such information (confidential financial information) will be disclosed only in accordance with the disclosure policy below.

Information collected is not shared with any third party.  We do not disclose your details to any other person without your consent unless an emergency arises that requires it or we are legally required to do so.

We never ask for any information that we don't need in order to conduct business with you and we will store your information for only as long as we need in order to fulfil our legal obligations.

We reserve the right to access and disclose individually identifiable information to enable us to comply with applicable laws and lawful government requests to operate its systems and to protect itself or its users.

All personal information is confidential and held on a secure server with restricted and controlled access.  Sometimes we may ask you for proof of identity or for other personal information before we can process your call or enquiry further.
